Security
& Medical Assistance
Concerning security on site, access to the areas reserved for
the ICM 2022 Congress will be strictly controlled. A registered
security company will be hired to control access, which will only
be possible to those delegates and participants, who are duly
and properly badged.
In addition, Palais des Congrès de Paris as a Venue is classified
as a first category Public Access Building (ERP in French).
“ERP” classification relates to French legislation concerning
risks and a first category ERP classification entails the most
stringent safety and security rules. Venues in this category
must have all the measures in place to limit fire risks, to have
clear and pre-designed evacuation routes, access for safety
personnel and accessibility for disabled persons. They are even
required to maintain a properly trained fire and safety brigade
on site.
Finally, a first medical response team will be hired for the
duration of the congress to give medical assistance to anyone
who may need it.
